The Dandelion Field

For my Graduation project, I build a stylized environment in UE5 where you can collect ingredients in the environment. It contains 4 different areas, with each area having its own ingredients. My main goal for this environment was to learn more about composition, lighting and drawing attention. For this project, I had no existing concept art, which was quite a challenge for me. I started out with sketches and kept iterating the environment and asking for feedback.

Because I started my project a month later, I used some assets from asset packs for this environment. The trees, rocks, skybox, butterflies and some of the flowers were used from asset packs.

For the materials I watched tutorials to get that nice stylized look in Substance Designer.

I had a lot of help with building this environment, and special thanks to Timothy Dries from the Beyond Extend discord server for providing me with weekly feedback and tips for the grass!

And a special thanks to André Felipe, for taking the time to help me with the RVT problems I ran into.
